The Ballad of Dawn

I like to meet Dawn, when the sun peeks up from beneath the darkened blanket of

Night. I have stood on the beach, in the chill of the Pacific breeze, and awaited

the arrival of Dawn. She is beautiful to look at when aroused.

She glides in with a dance,

and I watch with delight as her flouncy skirt sashays with brilliant designs. She stays

so briefly, and then she moves on, and yet she is permanent; in that I know she will

return again, however quietly or slyly that arrival might be.
